A good baby play mat is where a lot of first times happen: the first tummy time, the first rolls, the first crawls. Ours are made to turn that corner of the floor into something soft, beautiful and natural.
Natural materials only
Every Maison Theo mat has a 100% organic cotton outer and a natural wool core. There is no synthetic filling: the wool gives a warm, breathable softness, and the cotton feels gentle against baby's skin. The whole mat is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified.
Made in our Barcelona workshop
We make every mat in our own workshop in Barcelona, in small batches, checking each piece before it ships. No mass imports and no synthetic materials: the whole process happens in one place.
For tummy time, crawling and everything after
It works from the first weeks for tummy time, always with an adult nearby, and stays useful when baby sits up, crawls or pulls to stand. Later it becomes the reading or play rug in the living room. Our Bunny Rides, Teddy Hugs and Ducky Days designs fit into any décor.
Frequently asked questions
Why wool and cotton instead of foam or synthetic filling?
Because they are natural, breathable and pleasant to the touch. Natural wool gives comfortable cushioning and helps regulate temperature, and organic cotton is soft on baby's skin.
Can the mat be personalised?
Yes. You can add your baby's name embroidered when you order, which turns the mat into a one-of-a-kind gift.
How long will my baby use it?
Many families start in the first weeks and keep using it for years: for play, reading or simply lying on the floor. Always with adult supervision.
How do I wash the mat?
It is machine washable: 30 °C maximum, delicate cycle, no tumble dryer and no spin.
